2010 Copper King Scholarships
Congratulations to the following Douglas High graduates from the class of 2010. They were awarded scholarships to attend Cochise College this fall:

Jesus L. Olivares Jr.
This was out eighteenth straight year of awarding scholarships to Douglas High graduates. Something we can all be proud of. Just remember that when we get together each year to play golf and have some fun, we are also providing some much needed help to some deserving Douglas students and giving back to our community.
Be sure to support our sponsors. They contribute prizes and gifts to the tournament that help make our tournament and raffle a success. This is a major part of the financial success of the Copper Kings and our Scholarship Fund.
The E-Commerce class at Douglas High School has a website where people can purchase "Douglas oriented" merchandise. The mural below is one of the items, it comes on a gray t-shirt. Hundres of items including shirts, hats, etc. The funds raised from the sale of these items will provide funds for student activities and scholarships for E-Commerce students.

Have you seen the new website with stories about Douglas? It is written by Paul Nichols who lived in Douglas in the 1950's and 1960's, if you don't remember Paul you may remember his sister Ruth Nichols. If you grew up in Douglas you have got to check out this web site. You can read some of the stories and you know that you experienced the exact same things in Douglas.
